Dave and Karen had been together for a long time, they bought a house together over the summer, and everyone knew it had to be coming soon. Even Karen suspected, although she had no idea how soon!
On Christmas morning while opening presents, Dave gave Karen an average sized box that looked like it might contain some gloves, or a necklace maybe. When she opened it up, she found this ornament that Dave had made himself, using the trimmed off part of their Christmas tree:
Karen was pleased, how cute and thoughtful Dave was for making an ornament out of a piece from their first tree! The ornament was tied down in the box to keep from shifting, so Karen untied it in order to hang it on the tree. As she took it out she flipped it over… and what a surprise!
Karen and Dave spent the day shedding happy tears, calling friends and family, then hosting a crowd of us for Christmas dinner, and as Dave had in the back of his mind, in celebration of their engagement. The proposal was so sweet and romantic, and utterly THEM!
