Alas, life has not slowed down. I tell myself at least three times a year, when the holidays are over, I’ll have some time… when the summer is over I’ll have some time… when I finish this I’ll have some time…
I am never right, of course. I am trying to remember how I got through college on no sleep because I figure that’s the only way to carve out time for everything that I want to do! I shouldn’t complain though, because all this time that has flown by was filled with life, fun, love, and general insanity! Without further ado, here is a massive re-cap of the highlights in the past month!
Peter & the Twins stopped by the Fortress of Solitude on their East Coast tour… the wind and rain was picking up but we had a great time inside!

Ben & the Bierstick- it was great to see my younger bro and party it up a bit!
Hurricane Irene Knocked a Tree on my Neighbor’s House… The wind the day after the storm was worse than the storm itself. We also had two giant trees come down in our yard, one on our power lines. We lost power for 6 days!!!
Drew the Chicken- they haven’t started laying eggs yet, hopefully soon!
Lucy & Cameron Eating out of My Hand- the funny thing is the chickens seem to think they are dogs- they follow Betty around and run up to us any time we come down in the yard when they are out!

Me Signing the Wall at Ground Zero on Sept. 10, 2011- Luke and I went into the city to visit Ainslie, half of the awesome couple from Vancouver we met on our honeymoon. We happened to be right near Ground Zero, and took a walk around. I just put a little heart between some heartfelt messages.
Praying Mantis- Cell Phone Photo- I was having a really bad day and Luke gave me a call, so I went outside to talk to him. This guy was sitting in the middle of the driveway, and it came right up to me and sat by me, not camera shy at all either!! It definitely made me feel better!
